Body Contouring: A Real Alternative to Lipo. What is it and How Does it Work?

Body contouring is a process by which we destroy fat cells which produces a slimmer appearance. Think of it like Liposuction without the pain, cutting, scarring and bruising. Unlike Liposuction, the process requires multiple treatments spaced over a month or more, (a treatment can be performed once a week).

Each treatment targets fat cells at a particular depth under the skin. As the first layer of fat cells are destroyed, the next layer becomes accessible to the next treatment. The more treatments you receive, the more layers of fat cells are destroyed and the slimmer you get.

The technology we use features a patented combination of longitudinal and transverse Ultrasound wave technology. This wave is called Shear wave which allows us to selectively target fat cells, while leaving surrounding tissue unharmed. The shear wave vibrations disrupt fat cell membranes, leading to gradual breakdown and release of stored fat. Damaged fat cells are then disposed of the body through the lymphatic system.

The US, (Ultra Sound) energy is distributed homogeneously throughout the treatment area, effectively disrupting stubborn fat cells.

RF, (Radio Frequency) power is then used to produce thermal deep heating to the tissue, resulting in more concentrated energy treatment. This unique combination reduces treatment time and number of sessions while yielding more powerful results.

How does the treatment feel you ask? Great question. If feels kinda like a hot stone massage. It’s typically pain free and one treatment can take anywhere from 1-2 hours depending on the size of the targeted area(s).

This treatment is particularly effective at ‘spot reducing’. Still have that little ‘pooch’ no matter how much you workout or lose? Love handles no matter how many supermans you do? Double chin? You can’t spot reduce with diet or exercise but we can target any specific area that’s giving you problems.

This treatment is not recommended for individuals who are considered obese. The number of treatments required would be significant and the cost prohibitive.

Is the treatment right for you? Let’s find out. Give us a call to schedule your consultation.
